Het Ere futurelec control board bestaat niet meer en is vervangen door de Ere EMBMEGA32C. opgebouwd rond een ATmega32. Dit boardje moet worden voorzien van een DS1307 timekeeper chip en een 3V knoop batterij. De plus van de batterij is de zichtbare kant. Verder heb ik er voor data grabbing doeleinden ook nog een 24LS512 chip op geplaatst. Dat is een 64Kb EEPROM. J1 verbindt de buzzer met PD4. J2 verbindt PD2 met SQW/OUT van de 1307. Hier kan eventueel een frequentie van worden afgelezen. Het manual is engels. De display heeft een eigen connector.
De Futurelec wordt geprogrammeerd met zijn eigen parallelle programmer. Hij heeft op de print dezelfde programma connector als dat ik gebruik, maar die is niet compatibel met Atmel. Om origineel te kunnen testen moet MEGA32ISP worden geinstalleerd.

Aan de kant van het Futurlec ATmega32 Control board is het duidelijk wat aangesloten moet worden en op welke pinnen dat ligt: Er zijn namelijk maar 3 pennen: Gnd, tx en rx. Aan de kant van de pc ligt het iets moeilijker. Ik heb een RS232 verlengkabel in twee stukken geknipt, zodat hij op de seriele poort van mijn laptop kan worden aangesloten. Dat leidt dus tot 8 verschillende draadjes aan het andere uiteinde en de grote vraag is nu natuurlijk: Welke zijn de gewenste drie?
